URS Labs has Modern Technology embedded State of Art Testing Facility for testing of Products of Automotive, Electronics, IT Products, Audio Video Equipment, Luminaries, LED, Electrical Home Appliances.
Testing Lab has State of Art Facilities for Vibration Tests, Endurance Tests, Ingress Protection Tests, Conditioning Tests, Safety Tests, Function Tests of Equipment and Appliances. We follow International Standards to conduct Safety tests for Electronics, IT, Electrical Appliances and Automotive Products. Lab complies to ISO 17025 Standard, lab is accredited by NABL and recognized by BIS under CRS.
LED TVs, Plasma TV, Video Games, Optimal Disc Player, Music System, Amplifiers and many other Audio Video Equipment are Tested at URS Labs as per National and International Standards such as IS 616. URS Lab follows uniform Testing Lab Management System as per ISO / IEC 17025 Standard.
URS LABS conducts testing for Electronic Household Products such as Microwave Oven, Electronic Clocks.
These tests are conducted in accordance with IS 302-02-25 and IS 302-02-26 complying to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 International Standard.
Geysers, Water heater, Room heaters, Hot Air Ovens, Rotating Machine, Electric Radiators, Electric Iron, Immersion water heater, Toaster, Electric Trimmer, Induction Stove etc are tested at URS LAB. Testing are done as per Industry set Standards such as IS 2082, IS 8978, IS 302-2-30, IS 4283, IS 996, IS 302-2-201.
Electrical Products testing mainly include UPS & Inverter, Electrical Switches, Plugs and Sockets. These products are tested in accordance with relevant IS 16242, IS 3854 and IS 1293.
URS also conducts testing of Medical Electric Equipment as per IEC 60601-1-2 and IS 13450-1-2
IT Products such as Laptop, Tablets, Mobile Phone, Scanner, Printers, Servers, Modem, Set-top Box, Power Adaptor, Note-Book, VDU, Monitor, Keyboards, ADP, Cash Register, Point of Sale Terminals, ATM machine, Retested as per IS 13252 & IEC 60950.
Testing of Luminaries and Lighting Products testing at URS Lab include Lamp Control-gear For LED Module, LED LAMPS / Bulbs, General Purpose Luminaries, Street Lights, Fancy Lights and Testing is conducting following IS 15885, IS 16102, IS 10322.
Vibration Testing, Safety testing of Electronic and Electric circuits,Environmental Testing of Automotive Products such as Car Circuits & Accessories are tested following IEC 61508.
Destructive tests are basically to check the extent to which the product can be physically damaged when placed and carried out under drop test, free-fall, impact test and related. Vibration Tests are conducted using Electronic Dynamic Vibration Shaking System Testing with Capacity up to 600 Kgf, Freq. 0-3000 hz, Amplitude 0-38mm, Mode- sweep & octave, Acceleration 0-200 g with X/Y/Z axis direction. System is capable to take care of force transmission and withstand at high temperature.
Endurance tests are typically done to check the ability of product to withstand the expected processing load for a longer period. Monitoring is also done to determine potential failures under potential simulated conditions for a specific period & for a certain threshold.The tests are carried out on motors, fans, switches, lighting equipment, etc
Ageing Tests are particularly referred to as ‘Life Test’, it is concerning for the determination of ‘Life-Span’ of any products in respect of being checking-out the period of time for which the product can actually survive the outcomes.
Ingress Protection Test
Ingress Protection (IP) tests are performed to determine the level of protection from water, dust, chemical in order to verify lighting product’s acceptability for use in outdoor or industrial applications. IP test validates that the product’s enclosure will withstand moisture and dust, and will perform as expected in required environments per IEC 60529 and related standards.
Protection from Hazards, Electric Shock, Over Current and Earth Fault Protection, Touch Current. Heating under Normal Operating Conditions, Insulation Resistance, Overheating, Marking & Instruction requirements, Surge Test, Insulation Resistance, Dielectric Strength Mechanical Strength etc are carried out under Safety Testing.
Functional Testing is a Quality Assurance (QA) process that bases its test cases on the specifications as per the concerned National & International Standards. Functional tests are focused on checking the Dimensions, Power Input, Leakage and other performance testing for determining the quality of parameters declared.
Impulse and Surge Test
The most sensitively protected testing includes Impulse, Surge and High Voltage tests,carried out at the most priority level to check the danger against over voltages.
IT Standards -IS 13252
IS 13252 (1) and IEC 60950 (1) Standard requires that safety requirements must be complied in order that producer can engineer safe equipment, not only normal operating conditions of the equipment but also likely fault conditions, misuse and external influences, in handling , transport and normal use. Standard applies to eliminate, reduce or guard against hazards in functioning of IT Products.
Audio Video Equipment-IS 616
Audio Video Equipment-IS 616 is an Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 60065, ‘Audio, Video and similar electronic apparatus- Safety requirements issued by the International Electro Technical Commission (IEC).It was adopted by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on the recommendation of Audio, Video and Multimedia Systems.
Electronics House-Hold Products – S 302-2-25
This standard specifies general and it’s related to the safety requirements as per industry.The composite standard specifying the requirement of safety and performance requirements are covered under the IS 11676-1986 specification of Microwave Ovens for household and other similar purposes.
Electronics House-Hold Products-IS 302-2-26
This Indian Standard was adopted by BIS, for the Safety of Household and similar Electrical Appliances. This standard covers the general and safety requirements for clocks. It does not cover the performance requirements.

The purpose of this standard is to state and to define the principal performances characteristics of stationary storage type electric water heater for household and similar which are of interest to the use

Electronics House-Hold Products-IS:302-2-30
This standard deals with the safety of electric radiators (room heaters) for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 415 V for other appliances.
